The app requires a magnetic sensor to be able to operate. Calibration of the magnetic sensor is essential for good accuracy and the current calibration status can be seen in a gauge in the lower right corner. Click this gauge for more information about the calibration process. The compass housing has a orientation arrow pointing in the forward direction for the device, this can be used for compass direction readings.
